Pre-Match Tailgating (RailHawks v. New England Revolution)

The Carolina RailHawks open their pre-season with a matchup against the MLS New England Revolution on Saturday, March 20th.

The game kicks off at 7pm but the Triangle Soccer Fanatics will be tailgating from 5pm in the parking lot. We will be gathering the grassy area across from Parking Lot D just below the sculpture garden. Look for the tents, flags, drums, and TSF banner.

TSF Tailgate Location (click to view)

The tailgate is potluck / BYOB. Everyone is encouraged to bring what you would like to eat and drink, and if possible, a little extra to share with everyone else. If you're in a rush or don't fancy yourself a cook, bring a pizza, wings, or a bucket of chicken or we are always in needs of picnic supplies like paper plates, napkins, plastic cups, etc.

Use the comments section below to detail what you are planning to bring so hopefully we can get a good mix of stuff to eat.

This first preseason match should be a huge blowout party to kickoff the 2010 season! We will also be taking pre-order for 2010 TSF shirts. Just wait until you see the design. I think everyone is going to love it! Stay tuned to the website this week for a preview.

Tickets to the game in Section 204 are $12 and include a bonus ticket to the pre-season match against Montreal the following Saturday (March 27). More info on the match is available at the Carolina RailHawks website.

You can buy tickets online at this link. (Be sure to choose Section 204 so you can stand and cheer with the Triangle Soccer Fanatics!)

Dominique is thinking "Orange drop shots" to kick off the game, but needs to know if Aaron Carpenter, her "Assistant Spirits Tender" is coming! Brian and Kakistos. that's a question for the Greenville Brigade.

The TSF has plates, paper products, plastic utensils, and the Grill. Need fuel for the grill...Dominique will cover that. Marc you will have to take most of that stuff. There are a few streamers left over from last year (some in not good shape). The trunk is ready. Need someone to think over which national flags are needed. And we don't have a Japanese flag!

I'll be hauling the gear. I plan to get there around 4:30 to set up in preparation for everyone's goodies. Assuming everyone will bring food, we'll need some more tables.

Also we got a Grill so people can bring stuff to cook if they'd like.

    Phil I like jambalaya.

This will be my first match! I'm really excited because until now it has been hard to find people to go with. I'll bring some sort of dips and salsa to go with the assortment of chips and the chili pork...can't wait!
P.S. I will be out of town for the Montreal match so if anyone needs or wants my ticket, it's up for grabs
