Here we go! It's time for the TSF to get back to what we do best (and no, it is not singing)! Dust off the noise makers, tune up the drums, find those hidden smoke bombs, practice the old chants and songs, and come on out to the Wake Med Soccer Park for a friendly match between the Carolina Railhawks and the Vancouver Whitecaps (aka Last Year's Railhawks vs. the New Railhawks). Weather permitting, the tailgate starts at 1pm in the usual spot under the trees. We'll march in around 2:30pm, game at 3pm. See you all there.
Judging by the thin roster, all TSF members are encouraged to bring their cleats and shin guards in case we are needed to step in to fill out the team.
Also, a special TSF prize will be given to anyone who can come up with a chant or song with "Agbossoumonde" in it. "Gale will prevail".
To the tune of Ole Ole Ole...
ga-LAY ag-BOOS-ooh-mon-day
ga-LAY
ga-LAY
ga-LAY ag-BOOS-ooh-mon-day
ga-LAY
ga-LAY
Ok, after KD's solid pronunciation research, the revision of my earlier chant is ga-LAY will pre-VAY-LAY!
Bring a friend! Remember Vancouver tickets are also included in your Season Ticket package :)
Working on recruiting more people Chris! Looking forward to seeing the gang and getting the flags I washed back out on display!
Speaking of flags.... I have a Costa Rica flag that we can use if TSF doesn't already have one since it looks like we are going to have a Costa Rican on the roster this year.... we are both looking forward to another season of Railhawks soccer!
Hey Greg, What is the Menu for the first tailgate?
Ready to dust of the tables and cooking gear.
Also to the the other grilling chefs, What do you think?...
It is Roda's Birthday as well so I will have something for that as well.
I will bring the TSF grill for anyone who needs to use it.
John, bring what you like, and maybe a little to share. Come early and meet all of the gang.
As usual, the TSF will bring all the paper and plastic products. And also as usual, we always need tables.
Happy to haul my table to the event! I have a card table and two smaller tables. See you all soon!
along what lines should i bring in for tailgating? sausage, burgers etc.? and also, what section ticket should i buy to join the group?
i'll definitely be in early to meet everyone
John -- Bring what you want -- There will be grills there, but others are more of the Bojangles orientation. We are section 309, that's where you'll want to get your ticket. Give Chris a call at 459-8145 and he'll set you up.
WOW! We've hit the 70 mark -- I'll plan on being at the park a bit early to help with setup and deploying my tables.
John Pessoa, Section 309 is the TSF section. Call Chris Vurnakes for tickets!! (919) 459-8145 or ChrisV@CarolinaRailHawks.com. See you all there.
And Everyone!!! This is Roda's Birthday. So I can think of one song we will be singing!
you can also call Jessie O'Connell - 919-459-8146. She took over for Ben Adler. She is with Fan Development
okay, I am bringing something in a pot. I am serving Roda's favorite drink of mine.
So I could use plates nothing big and some cups for said drinks.
I have at least two tables maybe three.
Slightly off topic but, how about the US MNT beating Italy!
I've got two spare tickets. Contact me if you need tickets.
will we be able to buy them on-site tomorrow at the box office?
John - You can buy them on game at at the box office, but check with the tail gate folks first as some (like me and Jarrett) may have tickets already to unload.
Hope to make it for the tailgate with my son. Will take 2 tix if anyone have some to spare. Thanks. -Chris
