The excitement of World Cup events in the Triangle starts tonight as the Independent Weekly's film festival kicks off Monday at Pinhook in Durham. The games themselves are less than 4 days away now.

Our social committee has done a great job of scouting locations for our viewing parties and have updated our events calendar with all the latest information.

We would like to give our host locations a fairly accurate count of how many of us to expect so they can staff appropriately, especially for the morning matches, so we appreciate your using the site to log your attendance plans.
