Wow! It's really over. The 2010 World Cup has come and gone.

It was a thrilling time for Triangle Soccer Fanatics and the RDU chapter of the American Outlaws. Our membership effectively doubled over the last 6 weeks as World Cup fever swept the Triangle. It was great to meet so many new folks who share our passion for soccer and equally as fantastic to re-connect with some long-time TSF members we haven't seen in a while.

The atmosphere at all our meetups was amazing, but in particular the USA v. England and USA v. Ghana matches at Trali were absolutely fantastic. I have never seen a pub in the Triangle so alive for a soccer game. I was completely blown away, and I hope all of you had as much fun as I did, regardless of the final results.

Now that the World Cup has ended, there will still be plenty of chances for us to get together as a group and share our love of the Beautiful game. Of course there will be RailHawks matches, roadtrips, and match viewing parties as we move through the Summer and into the Fall.

Be sure to keep up with the TSF meetup calendar for everything that is going on and don't forget to mark your calendars now for the next US National Team match, against Brazil on August 10th. Of course we will be at Trali that night for the 8pm kickoff.

The US Men's National Team will play a "homecoming" match against the mighty Brazil on Tuesday, August 10th in the New Meadowlands Stadium just outside of New York.

Just like during the World Cup, TSF / the American Outlaws will be taking over Trali Irish Pub as our headquarters for USA match watching parties.
